Sew….

Sew Let’s Talk about it…

My two favorite verbs-sew and talk.

And put them together and you get Sew let’s talk about it….

Sew…..what is Susan’s Little Bits all about?

When you meet a fellow quilter what is the first thing you want to know about them?

I want to know everything:  when they started sewing, what their favorite style of quilting is, their favorite color, what makes them the happiest quilting, what project are they working on right this minute, and where did they buy their last piece of fabric?

Funny how that is, that I want to know those things when I can’t pin down my favorites and I surely do not just work on one project at a time.

You might be like me in that way.  Always going from style to style, method to method, color to color, and working on so many projects at once.

Well, that is what Susan’s Little Bits is about.  All of the projects going on in my quilting studio.  But I am going to let you in on a secret, just like I can’t pick one favorite color or style or even project I can’t write about just one thing.

When I began researching starting a blog I found one thing that puzzled me. Plenty of advice is out there about writing a blog.  But the one thing that bothered me the most was the advice to pick out one thing to write about.  How can I pick one passion and write only about that?

That was going to be very difficult for me to do so it stopped me from just jumping in with both feet.  The more I thought about the one passion the more nervous I became.  How can I stay on one thing?  So hopefully, you are like me in this regard too and you want to know everything or at least more than one thing.

Being new to this has made my brain think of all sorts of things to share.  I want to share with you some of the ups and downs and all arounds of my quilting and my life.  So to get started I tried to download a picture from my iphone of a section of a quilt block that would give you a glimpse of who I am.  While  I am one with a needle and thread, a sewing maching, an embroidery machine and even a  longarm machine I’m not so much one with the computer.

Sew…..the pictures will come but in the mean time let me tell you a little something about me.

I am passionate about my faith, my family, my friends, and my fabric.
